Bronze Statue Guardian Lion

Guardian Lion, or Guardian Dog, no matter what you might call him, his picture is well known. He guards the entrances in front of Chinese temples, or even Chinese restaurants, with a grim expression, usually in a double pack.

This figure has a long tradition in Chinese mythology and is still as popular today as it was 1000 years ago. Guardian lions, positioned at the entrances, are supposed to keep away evil spirits and protect the inhabitants from dangers.
