Fossil Wood Sink XXL

This wonderfully natural countertop washbasin was handcrafted from a piece of petrified wood.
The beautiful grain of the million-year-old wood is easy to recognize and this washbasin harmonizes particularly well with a solid wood vanity top.

You will not find another petrified wood washbasin in this enormous size so quickly. In addition, in this quality, which is particularly characterized by the few cracks in the stone that have to be filled afterwards.

Each of these basins made of fossil wood looks different and each one is absolutely unique, shaped by mother nature over millions of years. Mostly these are trees of the genus Dipterocarpus (a type of magnolia), which were buried, preserved and silicified in primeval times by the hot ashes of erupting volcanoes, when T-Rex & Co were still trudging through the forests.

In most cases, the outer sides are of course preserved and reflect the structure of the former tree. Even small crystals rarely form here, which run through the old wood grain.

The drainage of the fossil wood sink is standardized. It fits every standard drain fitting. When choosing the drain fitting, please ensure that the sink does not have an overflow. A drain without a corresponding overflow should therefore be selected.

The natural stone washbasins are sealed inside with a special lacquer and also polished accordingly. A damp cloth is sufficient for cleaning, although harsh cleaning agents should not be used, as these can dull the stone.
